Yet clinical experience and research alike show that hormonal imbalance affects almost every system in the body, producing neurocognitive, metabolic, sleep, and sexual symptoms that are far more subtle and impactful than what gets discussed in most mainstream articles.

Libido vs. Arousal vs. Desire

  • Arousal: The body’s physiological response (e.g., lubrication in women, erection in men)

  • Desire: Psychological motivation or interest in intimacy
